Update #2 & FAQS

Answering Questions from Our Community (2/19)

Over the past few weeks, many of you have reached out with questions, encouragement, and even offers of help. We are incredibly grateful. Rather than respond individually, we wanted to share a clear update and answer a few common questions.

Are you closing?
No. Nashville Nails is open, fully operational, and continuing to serve clients every day.

Are you leaving Franklin Village?
Absolutely not. We live here. We love this neighborhood. We are not disappearing. You will still see us at Gelson’s, Birds, and around the Village.

If the business is profitable, why was it offered for sale?
That’s a fair question. The honest answer is financial structure, not performance. After the fires, our SBA loan fell through. While the salon itself has been strong, we have personally been working to recover financially ever since. Our top priority is honoring our obligations to our landlord and operating responsibly. Offering the business for sale was a proactive move to ensure everything remains stable and secure.

Do you want to walk away?
No. We love this. We’re proud of this. What we’ve built works. The team is strong. The community support has been overwhelming. If anything, this experience has made us more excited about what Nashville Nails could become.

So what are you actually open to?
We are actively open to aligned partnership, strategic investment, or capital support that allows Nashville Nails to continue growing here in Franklin Village. While a full sale remains an option, our strongest preference is to bring in investment or partnership that strengthens the business long-term while keeping its heart intact.

If you are seriously interested in exploring partnership or investment, you may request a meeting or an investor packet by emailing renee@nashvillenails.com.

Is something wrong behind the scenes?
The business itself is healthy. Revenue is strong. Reviews are unlike anything we've ever seen for a nail salon. The team is committed. We are simply navigating capital realities after the unexpected loss of funding last year. We’re choosing transparency because we believe in leading honestly.

What about the team?
Our team has been extraordinary. They’ve told us they’re “riding until the wheels fall off.” Several have shared that they’ve never worked in a salon run this by-the-book, from sanitation standards to systems. One tech told us the last three salons she worked in didn’t ever clean tools between clients. That matters to us. We take pride in running this place ethically and correctly. (Pizza and Porto’s probably don’t hurt either.) Team continuity is a top priority in any future structure, because our techs are STARS.

Is this urgent?
We are addressing this from a position of responsibility and clarity, not panic. We are planning proactively, not reactively.

Would you accept community support?
Many clients have asked about donating or organizing a GoFundMe. While we are not currently running one ourselves, we are open to aligned support if someone in the community feels called to spearhead something. We’ve been deeply moved by the generosity expressed.

What does the ideal future look like?
Nashville Nails continues to operate in Franklin Village. The team stays intact. The brand grows. We expand thoughtfully. The standards remain high. The space stays warm and community-centered.

Our private room opens for waxing, facials, and more. Signage goes up. And much more. We built this from scratch in an industry we’d never been part of,  and we’re incredibly proud of what it has become. We are exploring the best structure to protect it, strengthen it, and carry it forward.

As always, faith anchors us. We trust that what is meant to remain will remain, and what is meant to evolve will do so with purpose.

Thank you for your support, your honesty, and your belief in what we’re building.

We’re still here. And we’re not done yet.

With love,

Renee & Ryan

Nashville Nails is for sale.

To our incredible community,

We want to share an important and carefully considered update. Nashville Nails is being offered for sale.

From the beginning, this salon was built with intention. When we opened, we set out to create something Franklin Village didn’t yet have: a beautiful, ethical, exceptionally well-run nail salon that prioritized cleanliness, care, and community. In just a few short months, that vision became reality.

Nashville Nails is profitable, fully operational, and deeply supported by the neighborhood. We have surpassed 100 unsolicited five-star reviews on Google and Yelp, built a loyal client base, and assembled what we genuinely believe is one of the best nail tech teams in Los Angeles. Our systems, standards, and brand are firmly in place.

As first-time salon owners, this experience has been both affirming and unexpected. We’ve discovered that we genuinely love this work. Serving the community, supporting our team, and watching something we built thrive day by day. Nashville Nails has exceeded our hopes in ways we could have never anticipated.

At the same time, given the realities of timing and circumstances beyond our control, we find ourselves at a crossroads. While our desire is to continue building on what’s been created here, we have had to make the difficult decision to explore a transition of ownership while the business is strong, stable, and growing.

Faith has guided this entire journey. Before our doors ever opened, we prayed over this space, wrote scripture on the walls, and entrusted its future to God. We continue to do so now, believing that if we were meant to remain here, He would make a way. If we are meant to step aside, we trust that this business will continue exactly how it’s meant to be, serving this community well.

Our commitment throughout this process is simple:

• to support a thoughtful and respectful transition

• to prioritize our team and their continuity

• to ensure this neighborhood keeps the salon it has come to love

We are still here in Franklin Village and look forward to seeing familiar faces around the neighborhood. If you’d like to stay in touch, you can always reach us at ryan@nashvillenails.com or renee@nashvillenails.com, or simply say hello if you see us around.

To those interested in ownership: this is a rare opportunity to steward a profitable, well-reviewed salon with strong systems, an exceptional team, and a community already invested in its success. Thank you for supporting Nashville Nails. This chapter has meant more to us than we can put into words.

With gratitude,

Renee & Ryan
